Our pillar candles are mostly decorative pieces. However, if you wish to burn them then please ensure you read and follow our guidelines to best care for your candles.
Always place your candle on a heat resistant plate or dish to catch dripping wax and prevent colour leaching
Trim the wick to 5mm before every burn, which will provide a cleaner, brighter flame
Ensure you also remove any wick debris as this can disturb the burning of the candle
Do not leave your candle burning unattended, and ensure they are lit away from flammable objects
Burn for no longer than 2 hours at a time
Keep out of reach of children and pets
Keep your candle in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, dust and fluorescent light
Please also not that due to the nature of soy wax, frosting is very common. This will not affect the burning of your candle however you can gently wipe away the frosting with a clean finger if you wish. Container candles
On your first burn, ensure you light your candle for at least 3-4 hours to allow for an even melt across the candle and avoid tunnelling
Container candles have a memory, and will only ever continue to melt to the initial wax pool!
Always burn on a flat and stable surface
Ensure you trim your wick to 5mm before each burn
Do not burn your container candles for more than 4 hours at a time
Discontinue candle use once wax is 10mm from the bottom. This prevents heat damage and possible cracking of glass
Minimise draughts and ensure your candle is lit in a well ventilated room, free from flammable objects
Store your candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
For best results, use a candle snuffer to extinguish flames. This prevents spreading of charred wood and wick debris
